Organizing starts with sorting...

Updated: May 7, 2019

Sorting your "stuff" into categories is the first step to getting a space organized. Create a zone for each category, and set limits for each zone.

These cleaning products have been sorted and contained with a bin as the "zone" for each category. The limit for each category - is whatever fits inside the bin.

Following this procedure saves time and money. No more time spent looking for something buried in a cabinet, and no more buying items you already have!

In case you're wondering what categories were used here for sorting:

~IRONING

~DISINFECTING

~SURFACE CLEANERS

~GLASS CLEANERS & DUSTING

~FLOORS & REFILL PRODUCTS

~SPECIALTY CLEANERS

~TOILET CLEANERS

The translucent / frosted bins used in this space were found at Target (Made By Design line). Two sizes (widths) of bins were used - allowing some zones to hold more cleaners; but the look is seamless since we used products from the same line.

Made By Design utility bins (from Target) come in various sizes and have lids available for purchase as well.

If you're feeling overwhelmed with ANY area in your home, take it one step at a time. Start with sorting everything into like-items!
